Designed for discerning homeowners who value scale, craftsmanship, and thoughtful luxury, this expansive estate-style house plan delivers an exceptional blend of architectural presence and livable sophistication. With 5,576 square feet of heated living space, generous ceiling heights, and a carefully balanced layout, the home is ideally suited for those seeking a refined residence that accommodates everyday comfort, entertaining, and long-term living with ease.
The exterior presents a commanding yet welcoming silhouette, defined by its steep 11:12 roof pitch, wide horizontal footprint, and clean structural lines. Deep covered front and rear porches create shaded outdoor living zones, extending the home’s usable space while reinforcing its timeless character. Built with 2x6 wall framing, the design supports energy efficiency, durability, and quiet interior comfort—an essential consideration for large homes designed to last generations.
Upon entry, the home immediately impresses with a sense of openness and architectural drama. The two-story grand room anchors the main level, soaring upward with vaulted volume and abundant natural light. A fireplace adds warmth and visual focus, making this space ideal for gathering, entertaining, or simply relaxing at the end of the day. The open floor plan allows effortless flow into adjacent living areas while still preserving defined zones for function and privacy.
The kitchen is positioned at the heart of the home, designed for both daily use and hosting on a grand scale. A large kitchen island with eating bar provides ample prep space and casual seating, while a walk-in pantry ensures storage is never an issue. The kitchen connects seamlessly to the keeping/family room and formal dining room, allowing the home to shift effortlessly from informal family meals to elegant dinner parties.
A dedicated first-floor primary suite offers a private retreat separated from secondary bedrooms. This suite includes a comfortable sitting area and a luxurious bath with dual vanities, a walk-in shower, and his-and-hers closets—a feature that elevates everyday living with organization and personal space. Nearby laundry access from the primary suite adds an extra layer of convenience rarely found in homes of this scale.
The main level also includes a den or study, perfect for remote work or quiet reflection, along with a mud room, utility spaces, and a discreet powder room for guests. Thoughtful circulation paths ensure the home feels intuitive and efficient despite its generous size.
Upstairs, the design continues to impress with flexible living options. A bonus room and game room provide adaptable space for recreation, media, or hobbies, while additional bedrooms are arranged in a split configuration for privacy. A Jack-and-Jill bathroom enhances functionality for family living, and unfinished attic space offers future expansion or storage flexibility. A built-in safe room adds peace of mind, reinforcing the home’s practicality alongside its luxury.
A three-car side-entry garage completes the design, offering abundant room for vehicles, equipment, or workshop needs without detracting from the home’s front elevation. With its expansive width, balanced proportions, and carefully curated interior spaces, this house plan is ideal for larger lots, estate settings, or homeowners seeking a commanding residence that still feels warm and livable.
Whether envisioned as a forever home, a multi-generational residence, or a refined retreat, this plan delivers enduring appeal through thoughtful architecture, generous space, and timeless design principles.

All house plans sold by Archival Designs have been designed to comply with the International Residential Code (IRC) and to the local codes in the area where the designer resides or where the house was built.
All house plans are designed to meet or exceed the national building standards required by the International Residential Code (IRC). Due to differences in climate and geography throughout North America, every city, local municipality and county has unique building codes and regulations that must be followed to obtain a building permit. Prior to purchasing a set of house plans, we recommend that you meet with your local building officials in order to determine the building requirements for your area. It is the responsibility of the purchaser(s) and/or builder to ensure that the structure is constructed to meet the codes of their local area.
Important Note:
House plans do not come stamped or signed by an architect or engineer. Additionally, house plans typically will not include structural engineering notes/calculations. Please check with your local building officials to determine if a stamp is required. If required, the building department will only accept a stamp from a licensed professional in the state where the home will be built.
Depending on your city, county, and state building requirements, house plans may need to be reviewed by a local licensed architect or engineer for structural details and code standards before construction begins. This is particularly true in coastal areas and those facing seismic events, extreme winds, and heavy snow. If you are building in any of these areas, a licensed structural engineer will likely be needed to provide the necessary calculations and additional drawings. We authorize the use of our plans conditioned on your obligation and agreement to strictly comply with all local building codes, ordinances, regulations, and requirements, including permits and inspections at the time of and during construction. We recommend checking with your local building department for the most current requirements. The purchaser(s) and/or builder are responsible for additional expenses incurred through meeting municipality requirements or other requirements for construction.
Our foundation plans have been designed for universal conditions and may need to be adjusted to fit your specific site conditions. The foundation should be modified by a local structural engineer to comply with soil testing laboratory findings and local building requirements.
Our house plans will include schematic electrical drawings; however, circuiting or wire sizing will not be included. Your electrical subcontractor will typically provide these drawings.
HVAC and plumbing drawings are not included. Your mechanical and plumbing subcontractors will determine the best layout for your site. Local HVAC codes, climatic requirements and commonly used systems vary throughout the country. The direction of how water flow will enter the home vary from case to case. For this reason, it is impossible to provide universal plans.
